The ASIJ art department has participated in the Artscape Exhibit of student artwork again this year. It's my first year participating, and I was impressed with the scope and variety of work presented! The exhibit is made up of work from 13 different international schools in and around Tokyo. There are over 500 pieces of work from students in grades 6-12, in both 2-d and 3-d. The exhibit is at the Children's Castle in Ayoyama, and it's on display from February 23rd through March 11th this year. I hope many of our students and parents will take advantage of this downtown exhibit of ASIJ student work and stop by to see the work.
Below is a slideshow of the installation. It features the work of ASIJ students, as well as overviews of the installation as a whole. If you would like to download the photos of your student's work (or if students want to put the installation photos in their eportfolio), just double click on the slideshow to get to the Picasa web album where you can access the individual photographs. Enjoy!
