Fused & Slumped Plates

The final project in Glass Art is making a fused glass design and then slumping over or into a form to create a plate. The students were really creative with their exploration of shape, depth, multiple levels, and how the shape and designs worked together.

Wheel Thrown Pots

As students move from hand building to wheel throwing, they are challenged to throw three tea bowls, each a different shape and size. The tea bowls also allow students to explore a variety of glaze application processes. Here are some of their results.

Ceramics Slab Project

Ceramics explores pinch, coil and slab construction methods. This project was the first slab project by the students, and their challenge was to create a large piece and incorporate negative space. Here are some of the results.
